Diversity and Inclusion

We seek diversity, and to reflect New Zealand’s communities.

To achieve our mission, we need people who can think differently, people with different skills and experience, and people who embrace diversity of thought to solve problems we face.

This means we need people from a wide range of background and that we value the different perspectives this diversity brings.

Diversity and Inclusion is essential for better decision making and a key contributor to improving public trust and confidence in the work we do.

As an agency that often operates in secret, it is fundamental that we reflect the communities we serve.

Diversity and Inclusion Strategy

The GCSB, in conjunction with NZSIS, is working to implement the agencies' joint Diversity and Inclusion Strategy [PDF, 9.73 MB].

Having a diverse workforce is central to our success and we look forward to the day when we can say we have achieved - He waka eke noa - a canoe which we are all in with no exception.
