[0926] Research and Development Programmer

The Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) is seeking a Research and Development Programmer to join the Operations Unit at its Head Office in Wellington.
You will be proficient in programming with C or C++, and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of software development techniques and project life cycles. 
An understanding of the following concepts would be beneficial:

  • Operating system internals (MS Windows or Linux/UNIX);
  • System or driver level programming;
  • TCP/IP networking;
  • Assembler level programming;
  • Reverse engineering.

Most importantly, you will be self-motivated, creative, and innovative, with an ability "to think outside the box". You will be able to work both independently and in a team, possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and display sound judgement.
